Indigenous Performing Arts Camp

The camp was held at Nowanup, north east of Albany in June 2011 with an objective to build leadership skills and cultural identity amongst young Noongar participants. There were 15 young participants attending the camp - 7 from Mount Barker Community College and 8 from Mount Lockyer Primary School (Albany). It was an introduction to the Gondwana SEA AiR Project, encouraging Noongar participation. The camp engaged the youth through a series of workshops, activities and storytelling connecting with the land, culture and the arts.
