About us

Established in Albany, WA in 1985, Southern Edge Arts (SEA) is a dynamic youth arts community that nurtures the expression of imagination through stimulating performing arts experiences and opportunities. SEA has been a champion of creativity and quality arts practice in young people, building community and encouraging diversity.

SEA has grown to become Western Australia’s largest regional youth performance organisation and has developed a unique approach to skills development and performance making that encourages participation and validates the contribution of young people working with professional artists . SEA has a unique track record in attracting professional artists of national and international repute to support skills development and the creation of new work.

We offer a large workshop program that includes a variety of performing arts and each year develop a number of performance projects that bring members and professional artists together to make quality productions drawing on the skills and interests of both.
